Watchfulness without speculation

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”Matthew 24:42 · KJV

Read in your Bible: Matthew 23–24.

Jesus confronts hypocrisy, grieves over Jerusalem and warns His disciples about deception, conflict and coming distress. His teaching distinguishes faithful watchfulness from claims that pretend to know what has not been revealed. The chapter ends with servants whose conduct shows their readiness.

Readiness is lived allegiance to Christ, not mastery of alarming predictions. No calculation overrides His warning about the unknown day and hour. Careful study should deepen discernment and faithful service rather than encourage panic, contempt or neglect of ordinary responsibilities.

Examine one end-time claim before sharing it. Ask whether it respects Jesus' own limits on knowledge. Complete a duty of care today as an act of watchfulness, keeping your attention on the Master rather than the excitement of speculation.
